The meaning of the butterfly.

The butterfly, to me, is more than just a symbol for the foundation; it reflects the significant changes that have occurred since Miranda's life was tragically cut short. She was like a butterfly: full of life, her existence a brilliant flash of joy and beauty that, while fleeting, touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her journey from this world was her transformation, freeing a soul too bright for just this earth.

Her passing changed me in ways I couldn't have imagined. It shifted my worldview, remolded my purpose, and taught me the fragile nature of life. My daughter's story is one of change—from sorrow to strength, from feeling lost to finding a new direction, from experiencing the worst to building a legacy.

The butterfly also represents every person who has endured domestic violence, their own stories of transformation echoing Miranda's. Their incredible resilience is like the butterfly emerging from the darkness to embrace the light, moving from fear to a place of safety, and from hurt to healing.

Every time I see a butterfly, with its gentle dance and vibrant colors, I'm reminded of Miranda's spirit—how even the most profound loss can lead to powerful growth, reaching out to touch many lives. Miranda's spirit lives on through the foundation, inspiring and guiding others on their paths to transformation, ensuring that the beauty she brought to the world continues to uplift and give hope.

"We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the
changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty".
